About Taen: I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. I am certified in Washington State as a Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Chemical Dependency Professional. I am an active member in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists - my national clinical organization. |
Taen's Past Experience: During my years as a therapist, I have worked in various public service agencies serving individuals, couples and families. My first experience, in 1976, was with Mothers' Emergency Stress Service, a 24-hour support agency which also included a safe house for women victimized by domestic violence. Since that time I have worked with children struggling with behavior and/or learning disabilities, their parents, individuals working through physical or sexual abuse issues, couples desiring to enhance their relationship and/or communicate with each other more |
fully, individuals struggling to change their violent behavior patterns, and with individuals and families whose lives are under siege by use of mind altering chemicals. Private Practice: I began my private practice in 1991, offering my skills to individuals, couples and families who are looking to effect positive change in their lives. |
| I understand the pace of busy lives, as well as the needs of those who seek therapy on your time schedule. Therefore, I will work with you to provide for your continuing therapeutic growth through regular phone consult, email and/or chat - alone or as an adjunct to in-person sessions when your time or schedule demands that. |
Guiding your journeys of discovery with insight and heart.
